Your Say
Speak Up
Project Democracy's Action Blogs are a platform for you to have your say about the issues that matter to you, and how your representatives are performing.
You've heard of blogging, and the opportunities it offers for public speech. We want to offer everybody the opportunity to put their concerns and opinions to local and national audiences.
If you're unsure, there's a submissions guide below to give you an idea of what would make a good post.

Submission Guide
Your work will pass through moderators - we have to make sure we play by the rules of publishing. So, here's what we're looking for!
- Substantial content: Think somewhere between 100 and 500 words. Pithy one-liners are best saved for comments on other people's posts. We want you to give us a solid idea about where you're coming from.
- Original content: Don't run "party lines". We want to the site to be an amalgam of individual perspectives - we want to know YOUR concerns, YOUR opinions.
- Local content - Stories about the place you know are more compelling, and that way you can keep the rest of the country informed about your neck of the woods. We'll welcome nationally-focussed stuff as well, but we really want a countrywide range of views.
- Critical content - Don't resort to smears or invective, but don't be afraid to tell your representatives where they're going wrong. Remember - they work for you!
- Content that isn't defamatory, doesn't vilify anybody, and doesn't break any relevant laws.
